Abstract: TAX PLANNING STRATEGIES FOR TAX-EFFICIENT INVESTMENTS

This study investigates tax planning strategies for tax-efficient investments in Uyo. The objectives are: to identify effective tax planning strategies, assess their impact on investment returns, and evaluate the challenges faced by investors in implementing these strategies. Using a survey design, data was collected from 200 investors, derived using Taro Yamane's formula. A case study of a leading investment firm in Uyo provided in-depth insights. The reliability coefficient score was 0.86. Findings show that tax-efficient investment strategies, such as utilizing tax-advantaged accounts and selecting tax-efficient securities, significantly enhance investment returns. However, challenges include understanding complex tax laws and implementing appropriate strategies. Recommendations include providing more education on tax planning for investors and simplifying tax regulations to facilitate easier implementation of tax-efficient strategies.
